彼得·杰克逊
彼得·杰克逊，1961年10月31日出生于新西兰首都惠灵顿。导演、编剧、制作人。
1987年，推出了第一部电影作品《宇宙怪客》；1989年，监制并编导了人偶喜剧片《疯狂肥宝综艺秀》；1992年，编导了黑色幽默恐怖片《群尸玩过界》，影片先后获得了法国阿沃里亚兹电影节等16项国际电影奖；1994年，执导了剧情片《罪孽天使》，影片获得了第51届威尼斯国际电影节最佳影片银狮奖，彼得·杰克逊也获得了第67届奥斯卡金像奖最佳原创剧本提名；1996年，编导、监制的恐怖片《恐怖幽灵》获得了1996年西班牙加泰罗尼亚国际电影节最佳视觉效果奖及最佳影片提名；2001年，拍摄的奇幻冒险电影《指环王：护戒使者》获得了第74届奥斯卡金像奖最佳影片在内的13项提名，彼得·杰克逊也因此获得了最佳导演提名；2002年，因执导奇幻冒险电影《指环王：双塔奇兵》而获得了第60届美国电影电视金球奖最佳导演提名；2003年，凭借奇幻冒险电影《指环王：国王归来》，获得了第76届奥斯卡金像奖最佳导演奖；2005年，翻拍了同名冒险电影《金刚》；2009年，监制了科幻电影《第九区》，影片在北美获得了1.2亿美元的票房；2012年，编导并监制了奇幻冒险电影《霍比特人：意外之旅》；2013年，推出了中土系列电影第二部《霍比特人：史矛革之战》；2014年，执导了中土系列终结篇《霍比特人：五军之战》，影片全球票房超过9亿。
2014年12月8日，彼得·杰克逊星光大道授星仪式在好莱坞杜比剧院门前举行，他成为这里的第2538颗星。
