Jerry Seinfeld

Jerome „Jerry“ Seinfeld (* 29. April 1954 in Brooklyn, New York) ist ein US-amerikanischer Stand-up-Comedian, Schauspieler, Autor sowie Fernseh- und Filmproduzent. Bekannt wurde er durch seine Rolle als fiktionalisierte Version seiner selbst in der Sitcom „Seinfeld“ (1989–1998), die er gemeinsam mit Larry David entwickelte und schrieb. In den letzten beiden Staffeln war er zudem als Co-Executive Producer tätig. Nach dem Ende von „Seinfeld“ kehrte er mit dem Drehbuch und der Co-Produktion des Films „Bee Movie“ (dt. „Das Honigkomplott“) zurück, in dem er auch die Hauptrolle des Barry B. Benson übernahm. Im Februar 2010 feierte „Seinfeld“ mit seiner Reality-TV-Serie „The Marriage Ref“ auf NBC Premiere. Zuletzt führte er Regie bei Colin Quinns Broadway-Produktion „Long Story Short“ im Helen Hayes Theater in New York, die bis zum 8. Januar 2011 lief.
