He directed films such as Spaced Invaders (1990), Baby's Day Out (1994), and 5-25-77 (2022), an autobiographical film about his teenage years and early exposure to Star Wars. Johnson also co-wrote Dragonheart (1996), showcasing his versatility in both directing and screenwriting.
