Ruth's Foley work is mainly in TV and film - projects include the award-winning Killing Eve, The Gold, The Long Shadow, Shardlake, Bodyguard, Breathe, Death of Stalin, Rillington Place, Dickensian, One of Us, Jamestown, Flowers, Red Dwarf, Peppa Pig, Thomas and Friends, Simon's Cat, Downton Abbey, Wolf Hall, Hey Duggee, Spooks, Garth Merenghi’s Dark Place, Troy, Le Weekend, Desert Dancer, The World is Not Enough, Eyes Wide Shut, Mamma Mia!, Enigma, 28 Days Later and The Life and Death of Peter Sellers, for which she won an Emmy. She also works in the theatre performing live sound effects - productions include Cabaret for the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen and The Hush at the National Theatre - and she regularly works with directors Katie Mitchell (Rings of Saturn, The Yellow Wallpaper, Wunschloses Unglück) and Simon McBurney (The Magic Flute).
